Friends

In surfing around some other blogs I found this gem:

Its pulled it from a Glamour magazine in February of 2006. Enjoy.

12 Friends Every Woman Deserves

1. The friend who won't let you be less than your best, even if you sometimes want to kick her.
2. The friend who's spent the holidays with your parents, gotten drunk with your brother and lived through the dog-spaying incident of `92. She's family.
3. The personal comedian, so hilarious that you dare not call her while driving.
4. The friend who's a little bit evil--so entertaining.
5. A rich friend who will always buy dinner.
6. A poor friend who'll let you buy hers.
7. The work friend: listener, knower of backstory, saver of sanity.
8. The friend you can't wait to be Golden Girls with.
9. The neighbor who'll lend you her drill--or a pair of red stilettos.
10. The friend who drags out of you all the sexual details you're secretly dying to share.
11. The friend who rafts the Amazon, gets a pet snake and does speed dating--so you don't have to.
12. The friend who, instead of asking how she can help, just shows up and does.

Less Exciting Than Watching Paint Dry

Ive never claimed that my life is anything exciting or brag worthy but last night it reached an all time low. I had one of those nights that felt super productive and calmed my nerves, but in my haste and frenzy, I stopped and thought about how to some, my life may seem pretty mundane.

I left work at ACS, ran home and immediately started on my chores. I gave my cat fresh water and food, I started a much needed load of laundry, pulled out bills to pay, unloaded and loaded the dishwasher, and got my vacuum when it dawned on me that in the ENTIRE MONTH I have lived in my new place, I have not once ran the vacuum. Now thats just not like me!

I was well on my way to being done when I started in on the carpet in my bedroom. Not having vacuumed this entire time, I didnt realize that my curtains actually drag the ground (apparently they were hung higher in my old place) and the next thing I knew, my curtains were ripped from their rods and wound around the wheels of my vacuum. A horrid smell ripped through my apartment and for a minute I really thought the curtains might burst into flames until I fought them free from the no longer spinning wheels and then sat down to catch my breath. Who knew cleaning was a hazard to your health and well being?

Having run out of time, I hopped in my car armed with some bottled water to keep me cool on the drive to Massage Envy. I am convinced my AC is on the outs but refuse to actually admit it out loud (typing it doesnt count) so I just drink ice cold water while I drive and pretend the sweat isnt dripping into my eyes and down my back. Gross.

I arrived at work only to have a series of snide remarks thrown at me by one of the lovely teenagers I so often "talk" about:
"Why are you here?"
"I have sales training today"
"No you dont"
"Yes I do"
"No you dont, its not today"
"Well it says it is on the schedule"
"OH! I was supposed to call you- training takes place at the Arbor Walk location, it stars at 5, you better leave now if youre going to make it at all"
"You were supposed to call me? Why didnt you? Can you call them and let them know you didnt tell me the right information and now Ill be late-I have to drive the opposite way down 35 during rush hour traffic"
"You can call them"
"Thanks?"

I hopped back in my car which of course, had heated back up from its already NON COOL temperature, and started back in the direction I had come from. Luckily it only took me about 20 minutes so I wasnt too late. I walked in and stayed for sales training until about 8:15 PM. This actually seemed early since Im used to getting home around 10:30 on nights I work at Massage Envy, so I made the most of my time and made a stop on the way home.
HEB was my destination- which was only made necessary by the fact that I was down to my last roll of toilet paper. I did my usual months worth of shopping and got out of there as quickly as possible. For those of you that dont already know, I HATE the grocery store and shopping in it. I also hate going more than necessary and as a direct result, usually spend the greater part of an hour unpacking and organizing the mass amounts of food I buy. Ive never been the kind of person that can go and just buy a gallon of milk or a loaf of bread- its all or nothing.

When I got home, I unloaded all the food and started making my lunch for the next day. This is the precise moment that I stopped and thought about all the things Id done that day- I worked, I cleaned, I paid bills, I worked again, I grocery shopped, and I made my lunch for the next day. Shortly after that realization, I crawled into bed and fell asleep.

Tell me this- when does the "fun part" of being an adult kick in? Are your lives like this?

Wedding Bells

Yes, we survived another wedding weekend. This time it was Walt and Jennifer's turn to take the plunge. I did my best Saturday to take as many pictures as possible.

I worked on Friday night and met up with the wedding party (post rehearsal dinner) for some drinks and to tour the new house in Blackhawk purchased by the newlyweds. Impressive would be an understatement. Since Im no good with spacial description or recalling a physical layout, and little remains in my memory aside from their granite counter tops and mega tall ceilings, Ill just leave it at amazing.

The wedding came a bit early on Saturday since it was at 2. It was a decently long catholic service with lots of up and downs, kneeling and hand motions that I didnt know the meaning of. The reception found us at good ol' Pfluger Hall with pink EVERYWHERE. There was a candy bar, a cupcake tower in place of the traditional cake, and all sorts of pink decorations with the Bride and Grooms name plastered across them. Around 10 PM, after lots of dancing, food and drinks, the newlyweds were whisked away in their getaway car and we all headed to a local bar within walking distance for some karaoke. This seems to be a tradition among our friends after local weddings, and Players knows us by name. Im not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing... but either way, we always have fun!

Sunday was spent in its typical manner: scrumptious food for lunch at the Bohls', lots of Macey squeezing time, some lounging (I watched the Wizard of Oz) and then Derek and I went to see The Dark Knight at the IMAX. We both thought it was so good, a little scary and twisted, but oh so entertaining. I will, however add the we both had really bad nightmares, but the movie was still good- just maybe not Sunday night appropriate? Bedtime found me falling asleep to the E! True Hollywood Story of Britney Spears: The Price of Fame. Sucker for bad tv? I think so.

Old Enough to Know Better

I find it to be nothing short of ironic that I recently posted about my impending birthday, my age, and my insecurities with it all. This irony is mostly due to the fact that I am about to preach to all of you just how much more I know than some of the people I encounter on a daily basis.

I work with a girl, age 19, at Massage Envy- who also happens to be unmarried and pregnant. No, there is nothing wrong with her situation, I cannot judge, but what is wrong is that she does drugs. While pregnant. She lives with her boyfriend that has no job and works ALL THE TIME to support the two of them. Why is he unemployed? He failed his drug test and is on probation for punching his girlfriend's (aka baby mamma) Dad. Said boyfriend comes to the store and sits in the office every time she works, start to finish and waits out the entire shift. He sometimes looks for jobs online, makes phone calls as they dont have a phone of their own, and brings food for his expectant girlfriend. Then they go home and get high.

I have started making suggestions to him:
"Why dont you get a job at HEB stocking groceries at night, I think you get paid more to work those non traditional hours and it would leave your days open for interviews if you find something better" or "How about UPS, could you check packages in and out or drive a delivery truck?"

To my suggestions he always mumbles something about not wanting this or that job and how he's waiting on paperwork from xyz to come through. They are on food stamps and have applied for WIC but still have no food in the house and what little food they did have, went bad when their electricity was turned off from not paying the bill three months in a row.

Im not saying all of this to be mean or sound like Im perfect because we all know I am far from that- but I just dont understand how someone so young could get herself in so deep? I told Derek last night that I was so close to taking her home with me when she said she might sleep in her car as her non air conditioned apartment was too hot for her pregnant body. I soon realized that while it would provide her with a good night of sleep and cool air, it would not fix her situation or make it better in any way for the long run. Also, I had to come to terms with the fact that it is not my job to take care of her and that just taking care of myself is hard enough.

To add on what I fear is already a blog entry that makes me sound like the most high and mighty person ever, I am going to vent about the people I talk to on a daily basis here at the American Cancer Society. Sometimes I am convinced that people simply do not think at all before they pick up the phone.

While I realize that Cancer can be a very confusing and complicated topic to discuss, it blows my mind that people can call in and say they have cancer- to which I always ask what type they have been diagnosed with. I cannot even count all the times I have gotten an "I dont know" answer.

HOW COULD YOU NOT KNOW WHAT KIND OF CANCER YOU HAVE???????????

I have had some real doozies Id like to take a moment to share with you (in no particular order):

1) "I have prosRate cancer...
2) "Tell me about that skim cell research thingy"
3) "Where can I get a free mammYogram?"
4) "Thank you for calling your American Cancer Society, this is Desiree how can I help you?"
"Yea, is this the American Red Cross? I need to be CPR certified"
"No, sir, this is the American Cancer Society"
5) "The cure for Cancer can be found in rattlesnake venom, I have proof"
6) "I have cancer, can you pave my driveway for me?"
7) "What number did I dial?"
"Im not sure, do you remember what numbers you pressed on your phone?"
8) "Can you tell me what the survival rate is for stage # (insert cancer here) is?"
" Stage # (cancer) has a 100% survival rate"
" is that a good thing?"
9) "I was diagnosed with lung cancer, and I cant pay my bills- can you help me pay them?"
"I can look and see whats available in your area for financial assistance, whats your zip code?"
"Hold on, let me light my cigarette- then Ill have a free hand to write down this information"
10) "Someone came and put a box in front of a store I own- it says to donate clothes and shoes for the homeless, can you come pick it up?"
"Does it say its from the American Cancer Society?"
"No, it doesnt"
"Then we cannot come and pick that up, you will need to contact the organization that placed it there"
'Oh, so you wont come get it? Fine."

Happy Friday to you all.

The Perks

So I took advantage of the hours I have clocked at Massage Envy last night and got a free massage. I chose the least creepy of my co-workers (a very fun loving gay man) and scheduled myself an hour with him.

He told me that not only are my back and neck a disaster area but he suggested I get a massage at least once a month because of all the tension I seem to hold in that area (I could have told you that). He really worked out a lot of kinks I had back there and stretched me out better than I have done myself for what feels like years... and sent me on my way with instructions to drink a lot of water. The reason for this being that when the muscles are worked over like that, many toxins are released and if you dont drink a lot of water to flush it all out, you may actually get sick from it all! Talk about disgusting. It also helps with any soreness that may linger on for the next few days but I chose to focus on the grosser reason.

Today, I feel relaxed and calm but Im afraid something stressful will come my way and Ill start making knots in my back again! Its only a matter of time.

A Clean Bill of Health

Molly's heart is fine and her parasite is gone. Thank goodness we got all good news!

Truth Time

In other news today... Molly will return to the vet this evening to have her follow up appointment. We will know if her abnormal heart beat is being caused by a heart arrhythmia or from stress combined with dehydration. Well also know if we got rid of her parasite. Im looking forward to the vet eating her words when she sees how ridiculous Molly looks groomed the way she is.

Please send happy thoughts our way- Ill be dragging Derek in with us as someone has to be the voice of reason (i.e. dont spend $4,000 on an EKG)- and he always seems to think of great questions after we've left the vets office.

Birthday Looming...

I am well on my way back to humanism and am happy to report that aside from a cough and some extra "drainage" I am much better than I was last week.

I am back at work (yay?) and after working both Saturday and Sunday at Massage Envy, Im feeling a bit cheated of what should have felt like an actual weekend. Oh well, such is life I suppose. Anyway, I have a birthday looming and thats far more exciting to talk about....

In 13 days (yes, thats less than 2 full weeks) I will turn 25. TWENTY FIVE. I will be one quarter of a century old. I know age is only a number and its all about how you feel or how you act and all that but I cant help but feel that maybe Im not quite where I pictured myself being at this particular age. Sure, at age 8 or even 10, a 25 year old may as well be retired and bound to a wheelchair, but now that Im almost there, it just seems too fast. I feel like by now, I should be settled in a very satisfying career, I should have perfected the art of saving money responsibly, I should have more to show for myself.

I know this seems a bit harsh, but think about it- I have been on earth for this long and I dont feel like Ive impacted it in any huge way. What was I expecting, you ask? To that I can only say I have no idea... just thought maybe I would have done more by now.

Im in no rush to get married or have kids, I dont feel the need to own a house or to plan for my retirement other than to allow "the man" to take a percentage of my paycheck and store it away for later use. I dont need a Nobel Prize or a medal of any kind- maybe I just need to accept that what I have done and the people I have met- are enough. I just want to feel 25... and I dont.

Perhaps that is a good thing?

Sick as a Dog

I am home sick with Strep Throat. Yes, burning the candle at both ends finally bit me in the butt.
Monday night, the Bohls' came over to Derek's house and we made dinner together, this was only made even better by the fact that I got to play with Macey more than usual since she is staying up a little later these days.

I woke up on Tuesday morning and my throat was practically swollen shut and my lymph nodes and glands were so swollen, it was hard to see the end of my jawline and the beginning of my throat. Luckily, I already had that morning off from work as I had a dentist appointment scheduled so I went back to sleep until the last possible moment hoping I would wake up again feeling brand new.

Much to my dismay, I woke up a second time feeling worse than the first. I called and cancelled my dentist appointment and then called my doctor to see if she might squeeze me in. Once I had scheduled a time to stop in, I went back to sleep and continued to do so off and on all day long. You know youre sick when you sleep and sleep and sleep only to feel more tired than when you started.

At 2:45 I pathetically hobbled into the doctors office and within moments I was ushered back to the exam room. After looking in my ears, my throat, poking around my neck and listening to my breathing, the doctor decided to give me a strep test. For those of you that have had a strep test, you know how awful it is when they shove that mile long q-tip down into the deepest part of your throat and all it does is make you gag and dry heave for the next ten minutes non stop. The doctor then wrote me a few prescriptions and sent me on my way with a promise to call me within two days to let me know if I did indeed test positive for strep. She assured me that she was 90% sure strep was indeed what was ailing me and encouraged me to fill my prescriptions sooner than later so I could get started on the road to wellness again.

Derek has been a wonderful nurse, he came home from work yesterday with 3 gallon sized bottles of all different flavored Gatorade and 4 cans of soup:
"I bought you home style chicken noodle, classic chicken noodle, creamy chicken noodle and chicken noodle soup."

So here I sit, day 2 of rotting around, drinking bottomless pitchers of Gatorade and eating every form of chicken noodle soup under the sun. I have been doing my healing at Derek's house as he has cable TV and I do not. Molly and I have been soaking up old episodes of Melrose Place, 90210, One Tree Hill and Dharma and Greg. I love cable but I really do hate being sick.

Mostly Molly

Why is blogging on the weekend so difficult? I never seem to make the time to sit down and write about what Im doing so come Monday my blogs are an eternity long!

Thursday evening, I took Molly to the vet. It was the only night I had off of work last week so I had to take her in very last minute when her butt looked like something might be.... off. Much to my dismay, it was not a small problem that needed fixing like I'd assumed walking in with her. She has/had a parasite and is on antibiotics for the next two weeks. She was also on prescription food all weekend to try to "work all of the problems out of her system"- as if the word parasite didnt strike enough fear in my heart, she also has a problem with her leg that we will need to keep an eye on- she has one of two things 1) the early onset of arthritis (she's not even a year old yet) or 2) she has the equivalent to a human torn ACL. I found it absurd when the vet looked at me and asked "does she chase a lot of things? Does she run around a lot" and to this the only logical answer was, "she's a puppy- she chases everything!!!" I also found it strange that Molly was not limping, acting like anything was bothering her or showing any signs of anything needing attention other than her poor bum. Ill go ahead and add the worst of our worries to this growing laundry list of ailments with poor Molly, she may or may not have a heart murmur. Now seriously, I ask you- how is this possible on a puppy younger than ONE YEAR OLD?! The vet told me it could have been beating irregularly for two reasons other than her ticker being faulty- these causes were stress or dehydration. We live in Texas and she is a poodle that does not shed and she spends her days outside- of course she is hot and dehydrated, shes also been running around the front office dodging the snarling fangs of giant labs and boxers- not to mention, there was a probe shoved in her butt to test her fecal matter for use in the parasite test- of course she is stressed. Wouldnt we all be?!

I am trying my best to remain calm when the vet proceeds to tell me that Molly is groomed improperly and that as a poodle she needs this trimmed and that should be shorter. I explained to her that despite Molly looking 100% poodle, she is actually half poodle and half yorkie and had I intended she look like a poodle, I would have her groomed that way. I did agree that despite her hair being shaved almost all the way to the skin less than two months before, since its been a very hot summer so far, I would pay to have her shaved again. I left the vets office feeling like a terrible puppy mom with tears streaming down my face only to pay them a pretty chunk of change and agree to come in for a follow up appointment so they can once again check her heart. Talk about a downer.

Friday I had off from work, I spent the day running around here and there and allowed myself some pool time in the afternoon with my book of the week. After about two hours, I was too hot and knew I needed to grab a snack before heading to work at Massage Envy for the night. I went into work at 5 only to find out I was not scheduled until 6 (SO annoying) but stayed anyway and worked until 10:30 or so. I met Derek at my apartment and we went to Kit's birthday party at his girlfriend, Heather's house. We played board games and pictionary and had a really really fun night! Boys versus girls is always a good idea in my book, we beat them with flying colors.

Saturday I spent most of the day at the pool again, nothing relaxes me like a good book and some warm rays. I invited a few friends over and we floated around in the pool and took a collective load off. It was really nice to not have to work (at either job) and be able to spend the day doing exactly what I wanted to be doing. That evening, dinner was on the schedule at the Bohls' and that never disappoints. We had Mexican beers and fajitas, spent a lot of time watching Macey and laughing at all her new quirks. Their house is so much fun and the food is always out of this world. Midnight found Derek, Rhonda and myself collapsed, each on our own sofa and eventually we all headed home, full of food and worn out from all the laughing.

Ill end this blog with an update on Molly (mostly because its so funny)- when I dropped her off to be groomed, I let the nice man in charge know that she had a few mats in her fur that I had been unable to get out on my own. He said that he would most likely need to shave her ears as well as her tail (I personally thought it was him being lazy) but I told him I understood and ask that he shave her hair as sparingly as possible. When I picked her up, she was four sizes smaller than normal no thanks to the loss off all her hair- the hair on her head was kept at a normal length so it looks about three times too big for her body, her ears are shaved all the way to the skin and he tail was as well. All that remains on the end of her tail is a small poof that I specifically asked they NOT do. She looks absurd. Pictures to follow. The poor, poor girl has had one rough week!

First Impressions

Having started a new job, I realized it was also a clean slate with my coworkers, I could potentially be (to them) anyone I wanted to be. This idea was only hit home when on my first day, the questions poured in... where else do you work? How old are you? Where do you live? Why do you need two jobs? Do you have a boyfriend? Do you have any pets? What kind of car do you drive? Where did you grow up? What do you like to do for fun?

I kid you not... I could go on for days with the interrogation I felt. Though it was coming from a pure and curious place, I couldnt help but feel like I was being sized up. Being the new kid and all, I figured it was just part of the process of fitting in and eventually I would be on the other side of the fence, and I would be the one doing the sizing up.

When one of the massage therapists joined us behind the front desk, he too spouted off with the questions. I guess I should make that singular- the one and only question he asked me was, "do you go to church a lot?" I mean, first of all that seems like a question with an agenda and it also seemed like he'd already decided who I was, what I was all about and was just waiting for confirmation before patting himself on the back for figuring "the new girl" out.

To that question, I volleyed one back and asked him, "Why do you ask me that? Does it seem like I do? Is that a loaded question? Because it seems like it."

Im sure my abrupt response caught him off guard because he immediately went onto the defense (unnecessarily, I might add) and started stuttering and making excuses like, "Well you just seem like you do, you seem like a goody goody... etc etc etc"

Please dont mistake my talking about this incident as me being insulted that the people I work with think of me as a goody goody. It was more that they labeled me within two hours and slapped it across my forehead with such disdain that all of a sudden, being a person that seems morally sound, and goes to Church a lot is a bad thing.

Here is the clincher: When behind the front desk, I work with ALL girls younger than me. I would even venture to guess that I may actually be older than the manager of our particular store. Why would I say this you ask? She calls up to the store from home- when she is not at work- to talk (not business) with the girls up there. They plan parties, talk about how drunk they were the night before and dish on guys they are currently "hooking up with." Talk about feeling out of place, I was in the midst of a conversation with one girl (i.e. she was grilling me about my boyfriend) and then she asked me advice on her curfew. A CURFEW?! Are you kidding me?! I cannot even get in touch with a topic like that, much less advise you on it- turns out she is 17 and this particular topic is most likely one of the most important in her life right now. I simply didnt know what to say. I would even venture to guess that I may actually be older than the manager of our particular store.

I have never felt so old in my life.

Scarfing

Having two jobs is turning out to be a little more stressful than I anticipated, more planning has to be done, and lots of meals on the go will be chowed down.

I have changed my work schedule from 8-430 to 8-4. Not such a huge change, I know, but in order to get off those 30 precious minutes earlier I now have a half hour lunch instead of the hour I used to have. Why would I cut my eating time in half you ask? I thought it would be nice to have a full hour in between ACS and Massage Envy in the afternoons. This way, if I needed to run errands or make a quick stop at the store, it wouldnt be as stressful than trying to squeeze it in the half hour I had before. I was leaving ACS at 430 and arriving at Massage Envy at 5. Thats just too little time! This way, I can swing by home if I need to, or eat dinner somewhere other than behind the wheel on 35.

Just wanted to let you all know that I had my first 30 minute lunch today and it went by WAY too fast. I dont think my body is even aware that its eaten yet...

Desiree Kniker... Camping Extraordinaire?

I have so much to write about today- Ill admit, the thought of putting it all in writing is a bit intimidating... I have been thinking about it since I woke up this morning (huge dork, I know).

I believe when I last left all of you it was Thursday afternoon. In fact I know it was. So I will pick up from there:
I wrapped things up at work and headed home thinking I would be working at Massage Envy that evening- turns out, I was off the hook. I was scheduled to work with a girl that would be training me but as luck should have it, she was not working that evening and therefore, neither was I. Dont get me wrong, I was thrilled. I took a cat nap and got ready to head over to Derek's house where a group of us were gathering before our "traditional" 3rd of July night out on the town. I use the word traditional very loosely as last year was the first year we went. We had such a good time that we decided to make it an annual outing. After a few drinks with everyone, my friends from Dallas, Mitch and Levi, showed up and we called our cabs to get downtown and get the night started. Our time was divided between two very crowded bars and before we knew it, we were all on our way home again. All of us hung out on Derek's back porch and around 4, everything dwindled down and sleepiness sank in.

Friday was spent at my glorious, sun filled pool. We played water and sand volleyball, floated on noodles, ate, drank and put the final organizational necessities in place for camping that night. Everyone dispersed to take what would be our last showers for the weekend and planned to meet back up and make a grocery run on our way out of town. We reconvened at Wal-Mart and bought our supplies and then hit the road.

When we first entered the park at Pace Bend, we took our time driving around from spot to spot trying to find one with the most trees (for shade) and one that was close to a bathroom (for obvious reasons) and finally settled on the perfect spot. Setting up our tents and blowing up our air mattresses was fun and once we were all set up, we did a lot of sitting around and a lot of game playing. Around 5 AM we decided to pack it in and all headed to our tents for the night. I woke up around 8 on a half inflated mattress, with the sun blazing through our tent door. Needless to say I was a bit cranky but after a few minutes and a bottle of water, I was ready for a day of fun! Around noon and within a matter of ten minutes, many more people showed up- we ate, played card games, went down the hills and frolicked in the water, played horseshoes and baggo and of course oohed and aahd over Macey in her polka-dot swim suit. Saturday night didnt drag on nearly as long as Friday, I think the sun and fun had finally sunk in and we were all exhausted. Sunday, as soon as the sun came up- we all got up, packed up our tents and cleaned up the trash and got the heck out of there- all of us dreaming about showers and our air conditioned homes.

When I got home, I threw everything Id taken with me right into the washing machine and took a shower that may have registered in the 100 degree mark. I flossed my teeth for what felt like an hour and only then did I start to feel human again.
All in all, camping- as well as the whole weekend-was a LOT of fun, but I think it will be an entire year until Im ready to rough it again.

She Works Hard for the Money

Yesterday was my first day working at Massage Envy. Special thanks to everyone who called/texted to wish me a good first day... kinda felt like the first day of school again. Ive got to say, I think Im going to like working there, everyone I met yesterday was super nice and more than willing to show me the ropes. While 10 PM is a bit late to end my days, I am excited for the chance to make some extra dough- Im excited to once again feel a little bit financially free.

Of all the reasons I have to be grateful- tomorrow being a holiday is currently at the top of my list. Not only do I get the day off from both of my jobs, but my best friend Mitch is coming to town tonight. Sure, Ill be at work until 10 again but when I get off tonight, Ill get to meet up with him at Derek's house! Were all heading downtown for a night we have dubbed a "yearly tradition" after we had such a fun time last year. Tomorrow when we all get up, well be hanging out at my pool, Nathan and his new girlfriend will be coming into town and plan to stop by my pool for a few hours. While we wont be spending the weekend with them, it will be nice to see him and meet this girl he has been yammering on about. Friday night we may pack up and head out to Pace Bend to camp, or we will delay it until Saturday morning- it will be a game time decision based on how much fun we have already had and on the weather that seems to be playing head games with all of us. Please hope for sunshine and a light breeze (in a perfect world, huh?)

So, to sum it all up, happy holidays to you and yours... and if I dont blog tomorrow- Happy 4th! Hope you have exactly the kind of day you deserve!
